12/20/2008 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Unlike last year, the Coyotes are sending their fans home happy after games. Phoenix will try to record at least a point in a sixth straight game as the host tonight, when they welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets to Jobing.com Arena.
The Coyotes went just 17-20-4 at home last year, but have turned it around this season. Phoenix is 4-0-1 in its last five games at Jobing.com Arena, where it is 10-4-2 this year.
The club is coming off a victory over visiting Nashville on Thursday, as Kyle Turris scored twice in a 2-1 victory. The third-overall pick of the 2007 draft has five goals and six assists in 30 games this year.
Ilya Bryzgalov was stellar between the pipes in stopping 30 shots for Phoenix, which is 3-0-2 over its last five games overall. Enver Lisin, Zbynek Michalek and Ed Jovanovski all had assists.
Bryzgalov is one of the reasons the Coyotes have done well at home this year, as he is 7-2-2 with a 1.99 goals against average in 12 games at Jobing.com Arena.
Phoenix will next hit the road for three straight, though, starting with a test in Edmonton on Monday.
The Coyotes will be aiming to sweep their four-game season series with Columbus tonight. However, they have lost four of their last six at home versus the Blue Jackets.
Columbus enters this test coming off what it felt was a victory but on the books is a 6-5 shootout loss to Dallas. Pascal Leclaire allowed five goals on 17 shots and was beaten twice in the shootout.
However, the Blue Jackets thought they had won it just 13 seconds into overtime, but an apparent goal by Manny Malhotra was waived off after the officials determined that Malhotra used a kicking motion to direct the puck into the goal. Head coach Ken Hitchcock disagreed after the game.
Rick Nash scored twice and added an assist for the Blue Jackets, who have lost two of their last three. R.J. Umberger had a goal and two helpers, while Derick Brassard and Kristian Huselius also scored.
Brassard, who leads all NHL rookies with 25 points, left the game in the first period with a shoulder injury and is out for tonight's game.
Tonight could mark the Columbus debut of 30-year-old Mike York, who signed with the team as a free agent this offseason. A veteran of 578 NHL games, York had seven goals and 16 assists in 28 games with Syracuse of the American Hockey League. He netted six goals with eight assists in 63 games with Phoenix last season.
Columbus has lost six straight on the road and is 4-9-3 as the visiting team this season.

Albert Pujols to be This Year's Home Run Champ Says Online Sportsbook
Barry Bonds is a 50-1 long shot to be this year's home run champ odds. The favorite to be this year's home run champ is none other than Albert Pujols, however.
Now that Barry Bonds is signed and in Giants camp, it is on to his pursuit of all of sports most prestigious records: the all-time home run mark. Bonds sits just 21 homers shy of tying Hank Aaron for the career mark at 755. Word out of Giants’ camp is that Bonds is the healthiest he has been in a few years. Bonds is just two seasons removed from his injury riddled 2005 campaign where he played in only 14 games and hit only 5 home runs. He did come back last year and had a solid season hitting .270 with 26 bombs. All eyes will be on Bonds this spring and summer not only because of his home run chase but his highly publicized steroid abuse allegations. If and when Bonds breaks the record, he surely will not get the positive attention one should for breaking a record that was once thought of as “unbreakable”. Despite Bonds decent season last year, he is just 50-1 at MySportsbook.com to lead the MLB in long balls this season.
Not surprisingly, the favorites to go deep the most times this season are Albert Pujols 5-1, Ryan Howard 6-1, David Ortiz 8-1 and Alex Rodriguez 12-1. With 49 homers, Pujols finished second in the National League behind Howard (58). Pujols is considered the favorite due to the consistent power numbers that he has posted since breaking into the league in 2001. Also one must consider the fact that he played in 16 fewer games then Howard did due to an injury. Howard smashed 58 homers in his first complete season of big league play en route to the National League MVP odds award. He silenced his critics by successfully hitting left-handed pitching. Howard also displayed the ability to use his power to the opposite field. Two attributes which should keep Howard amongst the league leaders in long balls for years to come. From the American League representatives, David Ortiz leads the field. Ortiz was second in the majors last year with 54 home runs. Except for 1999 when he only played in 10 games, Ortiz has improved on his home run numbers each year he has been in the majors (1997).
Be sure to log onto online sports betting site MySportsbook.com to check out the odds for who will lead the MLB in home runs this season. Below is just a sample of the players listed. With the highest credit card rates in the industry, MySportsbook.com is the place to bet on baseball this summer.
